Enjoy a city tour of Colombo; the former administrative capital of Sri Lanka, and the country’s
largest city. It is an eclectic mix of the bygone colonial era as well as having a stark modern
contrast. The main reason Colombo is what it is today is thanks to the large harbour and
situation facing India and being in a stop-off point for East-West trade. The British Empire in
1815 made Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka and as such it’s home to the main entertainment,
restaurants and corporate offices that you’d expect from a large city. The tour of Colombo lets
you delve into the past and present of the city, looking at the commercial sites, religious areas
and historical monuments. You will get to see Pettah and the bustling Fort as well as the Galle
face Green, Cinnamon Gardens and the sublime Viharamahadevi Park.
