The Heritance Tea Factory Hotel is the pinnacle of what Sri Lanka holidays are all about. Originally built in the British Raj days, the tea factory was created by British planters in the 1930s. It’s been converted to a stunning and luxurious resort that houses all of the architecture and history of days gone by. Machinery and original decorative features still are seen, and yet the modern hotel rooms and lavish furnishings add a wonderful up-to-date feeling throughout.
There are 57 stunning rooms, which have baths and showers, tea plantation or garden views and a great selection of teas to choose from for you to make during your stay. There is in-room dining, so you know they are spacious and well-equipped, and so you can enjoy a romantic setting with just you and your partner.
The standard rooms have a small seating area that have views of the tea plantations, whereas the Superior rooms are much more spacious and have sofas outside so you can truly relax amongst the natural beauty that surrounds your holidays in Sri Lanka.
The Junior suites have flat-screen TVs and luxurious en-suites as well as a larger living space. Satellite TV is standard across all of the rooms. The Suites have dining and living areas, as well as a separate bedroom. There is a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub and walk-in shower. As the Suites are located on the top floor of the Tea Factory, you have panoramic views of the plantation and beyond.
